We Believe:

The Bible

We believe the Bible to be the inerrant and infallible Word of God that contains everything necessary for salvation. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness
(II Timothy 3:16).

God the Father

We believe there is One God, the Father, the creator of all the Heavens, the Earth and all living things (Deuteronomy 6:4). God is a spirit (St. John 4:24). He is the first and the last, and besides Him there is no other God (Isaiah 44:6). There was no God formed before Him; neither shall there be after Him (Isaiah 43:10).

The Son

We believe Jesus Christ to be the only begotten Son of God the Father, who was born miraculously of the Virgin Mary through the work of the Holy Spirit (Luke 1:35), lived a sinless life, was crucified, buried and rose again on the third day in bodily form, and was seen of many. We believe Jesus’ perfect life and sacrificial death atoned for the sins of all who will trust in Him alone for salvation (Romans 1:23-26). We believe faith in Jesus Christ to be the only way to salvation (John 14:6).

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues (Acts 2:1-4; 10:44-46). We believe the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to be essential in the rebirth/regeneration of every believer (St. John 3:5; Romans 8:9). The work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer, sanctifies, instructs, empowers them for service, and seals them unto the day of redemption (St. John 14:26; Romans 8:1; I Corinthians 12:1-13; Galatians 5:22,23).

Water Baptism

We believe in the necessity of water baptism by full immersion, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Water baptism is an essential act of faith and obedience for the remission of sin. (St. John 3:5; Acts 2:36-38; Acts 10:43-48)

Holiness

We believe that every believer is called to be sanctified (set apart unto God) and to live a life of holiness. Through the grace of God and the power of the Holy Spirit we are to live a life free of immorality, pride, greed, bitterness, and bondage to sin (I Chronicles 16:28-31; Romans 6:18-22; Hebrews 12:8-14).

The Second Coming of Christ

We believe in the imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to receive to Himself into heaven both His own who are alive and remain, and also all who have fallen asleep in Jesus. This event is the blessed hope set before us in the Scripture, and for this we should be constantly looking (St. John 14:1–3; I Corinthians 15:51–58; Philippians 3:20-21; I Thessalonians 4:13–18; Titus 2:11–14). He will also return to judge all of humanity according to the deeds done in their bodies (St. John 5:28,29; II Corinthians 5:9,10).
